PairOnce

PHONE → COMPUTER · TEXT AND LINKS

Send a link or a code from your phone to your computer

Open paironce.com on the computer and scan its QR code with your phone, then tap Message or link on the phone, paste the link or code and tap Send.

It appears on the computer a moment later with Copy and Open buttons, encrypted end to end and without going through an email or chat account.

Next time the two devices reconnect with one tap, so sending a link takes a few seconds.

Step by step

  1. Open PairOnce on the computer. Go to paironce.com in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. It shows a QR code and a six-digit code.
  2. Connect the phone. Scan the QR code with the phone’s camera, or open paironce.com on the phone and type the six-digit code. Check that both screens show the same safety code, then click Approve device on the computer. A page opened from a QR code or link asks you to confirm first: tap Connect.
  3. Copy the link or code on the phone. In any app, long-press the link or code and choose Copy. To send the page you are reading, use the browser’s Copy link.
  4. Send it. In PairOnce on the phone, tap Message or link, then Paste (or long-press the box and paste), and tap Send.
  5. Use it on the computer. The message appears on the computer. Click Copy to put it on the clipboard, or Open to follow a link.

Next time: one tap

Both browsers remember each other. Open PairOnce on both devices and tap Connect next to the other device, or turn on automatic connection for it, and the phone is ready to send in a couple of seconds.

On Android, after installing PairOnce from the browser menu, it appears in the share menu of other apps: share a link or some text straight to it.

Limits, and when this is not the right tool

  • A file can be up to 2 GB over a direct connection when the receiving browser saves straight to disk (Chrome or Edge on a computer or Android, Firefox on a computer, Safari on iOS 26 or later). Other browsers take up to 50 MB per file and hold 100 MB of received files at a time.
  • Files over 2 GB need PairOnce Pro on one of the two devices. Then a file can be up to 10 GB, received the same way, and the relay carries 5 GB a month.
  • When the two devices cannot reach each other directly, an encrypted relay carries the data. Each device can send and receive 200 MB a month that way, counted together; a direct connection has no monthly limit.
  • Both pages must stay open until everything has arrived: keep the phone’s screen on and the browser in front.
  • PairOnce moves things between two devices that are open at the same time. It is not cloud storage: nothing waits on a server for later.

Other ways to do it

  • Email or message yourself. Works everywhere, but it goes through a mail or chat account, and finding it on the computer takes longer than the code is valid for.
  • Your browser’s sync. Chrome and Edge can send a page to your other devices signed in to the same account. Good for web pages; less handy for a code or a note.
  • A notes app. Apple Notes, Google Keep or OneNote sync text when you are signed in on both devices; slower for a one-off code.
  • Universal Clipboard. Copy on an iPhone and paste on a Mac when both use the same Apple Account with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on. It does not reach Windows or Android.

Common questions

Can anyone else read what I send?

No. The message is encrypted between the two browsers. PairOnce’s server only helps the two devices find each other and cannot read it.

Do the phone and the computer need the same Wi-Fi?

No. If they cannot connect directly, the message goes through an encrypted relay. Text is tiny, so links and codes barely touch the relay’s monthly allowance.

How long can a message be?

Up to 128 KB, which is tens of thousands of characters. For anything longer, save it as a file and send the file.

Does it work the other way, from the computer to the phone?

Yes. The connection works both ways: click Message or link on the computer, paste and send it to the phone.
